New Important Preschool Info!

Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas & are enjoying the New Year! As this new year starts here's some important info I must let you all know!

Reminder:
Along with tuition the $35 materials fee for this semester is due tomorrow.

Tracking your child's progress
I am not doing parent teacher conferences with preschool as I am sure you have already guessed. But what I feel is important is that I keep constant communication going on with each of you, and I will always be free to discuss what we are doing and how your child is learning. What I feel will work best is that you contact me if you would like more information on how your child is doing, on top of the work that he/she brings home, or have any questions or concerns. I will also contact you if I need to discuss your child's growth, when I feel it is necessary. At the end of the year I will provide you with information showing what we have learned, and how he/she has grown.

What's new!!!
We will start learning Spanish this year! We will incorporate Spanish into our daily routine, learning new words and counting in circle time every morning.

Our updated daily schedule:
9:30-9:40 Free play & Learning centers
9:40 Circle Time:
Pledge of Alliegence, calendar & weather, counting (spanish), theme, & letter of the day
10:00-10:30 Learning Centers
10:30-10:45 Snack
10:45-11:15 Story Time, Share bag, & Spanish
11:15-11:25 Music & movement & free play
11:25 Goodbye song & Review of day

Please remember to keep working one-on-one with your child at home, since the most important learning comes from within the home. If you can read at least one book a day, your child will greatly benefit!
Whenever you can give your child crayons/pencils/markers to practice drawing and writing and coordination. Tracing books are great for this as well. Give them scissors to practice cutting anything you don't mind ending up in millions of pieces! They need practice to get their coordination down for writing and drawing. Plus scissors seem to keep them occupied for long periods of time (safety scissors of course, you can get them at the dollar store).
